Since the organisation of BalticFem was not constituted until the fall 2002 our members have managed the EU project “Women’s participation in the European Dialogue on Employment Strategies” through our sister organsiation in Norrtälje, Resursnätet from December 2001 until February 2003. The project ended February 15th, 2003, but we will continue to work with the results, disseminating and contiuing the network for some time ahead. Please visit parts of the project website /dialoguefem/ for more information.
The EU project “Women’s participation in the European Dialogue on Employment Strategies” had several points of departures i.e. the need to:
- Involve more women in the dialogue around employment strategies and labour market measures both on regional and European level.
- Mainstream gender equality in employment measures, especially at regional level.
- Exchange knowledge and ideas on labour market measures between Member States and candidate countries.
- Design measures in order to increase women’s participation on the labour market.
